Handling the heat: Responses of two congeneric limpet species to environmental temperature differences

چکیده
Poleward migrations of coastal marine species are occurring due to anthropogenic climate change. Temperature is a known driver distributions, however, the specific influence temperature responsible for ecological disruption diverse and often species-specific. If we predict future impacts change it imperative have comprehensive understanding influences at scale individual organisms, especially ecosystem engineer species. In this study, manipulative mesocosm experiments were conducted explore how affects limpet feeding activity rates, duration tenacity ability foot was used assess impact water on biological function. Mesocosm trials function analysis indicated that P. vulgata may be more eurythermal, whilst depressa has higher thermal tolerance while performing simple functions temperatures. These investigations supplement established body research aimed improving predictive power distribution models (SDM) forecast by pointing potential importance sub-lethal effects upon behaviour performance. • Limpets experiencing climate-driven shifts in biogeographic distributions. Patella appear express different responses. indicate eurythermal than depressa. Biological suggested clear difference response limpets stress. This supplements existing aid models.

Whole-plant development trajectories and sapling leaf displays were compared for two sympatric congeneric species, Pterospermum diversifolium and P. javanicum, in a tropical floodplain forest in East Kalimantan, Indonesia. We assessed their growth strategies and developed hypotheses for their coexistence within the community. Pterospermum diversifolium retains a monoaxial growth habit that prom...

The current study was conducted in the rangeland of Glandrood watershed in the province of Mazandaran. The main objective of this study was to investigate the responses of forbs species to some environmental gradients. For these purpose 153 plots of 1m2 were established along the altitude gradient and Trasp. The sampling method was randomized-systematic. In the area sampled, frequency of forbs ...

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
